Booking on a Recurring Membership

Follow

This article will take you through somethings to be aware of for clients booking while on recurring memberships.

For information on creating a recurring membership see here

Unlimited Subscription:

For those booking on unlimited subscriptions (ones without credits)

  • They can book into the current term and into the next term (where the term is the payment frequency, e.g. every week/month/three months). So a user on a weekly subscription can book within the next seven days, the next seven days after that, but not into the third term. There is no way to override this without changing membership payment dates.
  • If they are booked into a class within the next term or in advance, and their membership is cancelled manually, their bookings are not removed. They will need to be manually removed from each class they are booked into.
  • Members cannot book for the dates they are paused for. However, if they are paused, they can book for the dates they are returning for.
  • Members cannot book if they are overdue.
  • Members cannot book past their contract renewal date.

Restricted Subscription:

The following applies to those who are

  • They can book into the current term and into the next term (where the term is the payment frequency, e.g. every week/month/three months). When booking into their next term, the credits for the next term appear on the user's profile. You can tell the difference by the dates.
  • If they are booked into a class within the next term or in advance, and their membership is cancelled manually, their bookings are not removed. They will need to be manually removed from each class they are booked into, and this also will not remove any credits associated with the membership if the membership is cancelled. These will need to be removed manually.
  • If the user has run out of credits for the term they are in, they will be able to book at the price the class is set up to for that Membership (not PAYG price).
  • If the price of this class is zero for those on the membership, once they run out of credits they will NOT be able to book. This is prevent people from getting free classes.
  • Similarly, if a client has credits for Class A that are not valid for Class B, and Class B has a price for the class for that membership of $0, they will not be able to book. If the price associated with that membership for the class is greater than $0, they will be able to book at that price.
  • Members cannot book past their contract renewal date.
  • If a member books into their next payment cycle and then the payment for that cycle fails, the bookings will remain and the customer will still be able to book with the valid credits. You will need to cancel the bookings and remove the credits to prevent further use.
