What is GoCardless
GoCardless is an online tool that makes it easy for your regular customers to pay you by Direct Debit. Go Cardless can be used in combination with Glofox Payments.
Glofox's integration with GoCardless is available with the following Direct Debit schemes;
- BACS - UK
- BECS - Australia
- BECS NZ - New Zealand
- SEPA Core- EU who use €
- PAD - Canada
- Autogiro - Sweden
- Betalingsservice - Denmark
How to connect to GoCardless
The process to connect Glofox to GoCardless is the same if you have a GoCardless account or not. If you do not have an account you will be prompted to sign up during the configuration. To do that, follow these steps;
- In your Glofox dashboard go to 'Settings'
- Then go to the 'Payments' tab
- Then click 'Configure' for 'Direct Debit'
Please note;
If the Direct Debit option does not show, the integration is not available in your country.After you click the 'Configure' button you will be sent to GoCardless's website where there will be 3 possible steps. These steps depend on whether you have a GoCardless account already and if you are signed in to it.
If you already have a GoCardless account:
- If you already have a GoCardless account and you are signed into it you will be re-directed back to Glofox straight away. You will see a success message and GoCardless will be turned on.
- If you already have a GoCardless account and you are not signed into it, you will see a page to create an account on GoCardless. There is a 'Sign-in' button at the bottom of the page. Once you sign in your account will be connected and you will be redirected back to Glofox. You will see a success message and GoCardless will be turned on.
If you do not have a GoCardless account:
- If you do not have a GoCardless account you will see a page to create an account on GoCardless. From here you will out the form to create a GoCardless account. Once you finish the form your account will be connected and you will be re-directed back to Glofox. You will see a success message and GoCardless will be turned on. It's important to note that at this stage, your GoCardless account will be set up but not verified. This means you can take payments through but you will not be paid out the money.
- NB To verify your account and complete your account set up you will need to follow this link https://manage.gocardless.com/sign-in and complete the verification steps to finish your account set up. You will also receive an email with the same instructions to verify your account. Please do this asap as your account is not fully set up until you have completely verified it.
If you have multiple Dashboards on Glofox or your dashboards connected for roaming:
You will need to create an account for each of the dashboards you have on Glofox, and each account will require a unique email address (you can use the same bank details for each account if required) . The most important step here is to sign out of your GoCardless account once you have logged in and verified it. Please follow the steps below to get set up.
- Log into your Glofox dashboard go to ‘Settings’
- Then go to the ‘Payments’ tab
- Click ‘Configure’ for ‘Direct Debit’
- From here you will fill out the form to create a GoCardless account. Once you finish the form your account will be connected, and you will be re-directed back to Glofox. You will see a success message and GoCardless will be turned on. It’s important to note that at this stage, your GoCardless account will be set up but not verified. This means you can take payments through the dashboard but you will not be paid out the money.

- Sign out of your GoCardless account, head back to Glofox dashboard and sign in or head to another one of your Glofox dashboards and follow the same set of instructions as above NB Please ensure you sign out of your GoCardless account prior to setting up the next account. If signed in, you may link the existing account you created in steps 1-3 above, rather than creating a new account.
