Content Moderation
At Glofox, we prioritize creating a safe and professional environment for all users. To maintain this, we’ve implemented a Content Moderation tool, to ensure that any images uploaded to the Glofox platform are appropriate and free from offensive content.
Why is Content Moderation Important?
Users can upload images to the Glofox system, even without having a Glofox account, such as when registering through the Web portal to upload a profile picture. These images are stored on our servers and used across various parts of the platform, including on profiles, the dashboard, and in the mobile app.
In addition to profile pictures, authenticated users can upload images for trainers, classes, or facilities, which are also publicly displayed across the system. To safeguard against inappropriate content, we’ve introduced automatic moderation of all uploaded images.
How Does Content Moderation Work?
Glofox uses Amazon Rekognition, a machine-learning-based service, to automatically analyze images. When an image is uploaded, it is sent to Amazon Rekognition, which evaluates the content for any inappropriate material. If the image is flagged as inappropriate, it will be blocked from being uploaded.
For more details on how Amazon Rekognition works, you can visit the AWS documentation.
If your image fails moderation, you will receive a message like this:
The image cannot be processed due to inappropriate content.
If you believe you received this message in error, please contact us at support@glofox.com.
