What is Class Attendance?
Class attendance provides you with information on who has attended your gym or studio's classes based on the check-ins and attendance reports that your staff submits as your clients attend classes.
How to track Class Attendance
Tracking client attendance history is integral to improving overall class experience and this can be easily achieved using the Glofox dashboard which we've detailed below.
Tracking attendance for an individual client
- From the Glofox Dashboard homepage, click 'Manage'
- Then, click the Clients tab
- From here, use the search field on the left-hand side of the page or scroll to search for your client
-
- Alternatively, you can use the "Global Search" field in the top right-hand corner of the page and search for your client
-
- Once you've located your client, click on their name to open their profile
- Click 'Activity'
- From here you can scroll through a log of their activity with your business including any classes they have attended
Tracking attendance for a group of clients
- From the Glofox Dashboard homepage, click 'Manage'
- Then, click the Clients tab
- Click on Filters and select the Attendance filter
- Choose the range (more than/less than) or the exact number of the members on a certain attendance metric.
- Choose the timeframe you want to track the attendance performance and select ‘Apply’
- On the right-hand side of the screen, select the ‘Actions’ key
- Select the ‘Download’ action and you’ll then see a file downloaded in a CSV format of your member data including their attendances
Using Reports to manage attendance
You can also view aggregate class data from the 'Reports' section of the Glofox dashboard. We've included details on how to do this below.
The Class Performance report
- From the Glofox Dashboard homepage, click 'Reports'
- Then, click the 'Report List' tab
- Scroll to the 'Performance' section in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
- Click 'Class Performance'
- Select a date range
- Click 'Download' to download a CSV file containing the attendance data for all of your classes
This can be used to highlight classes that are performing best and worst so you can double down on what's working and make changes to what's not.
The No Shows report
- From the Glofox Dashboard homepage, click 'Reports'
- Then, click the 'Report List' tab
- Scroll to the 'Activity' section in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen
- Click 'No Shows'
- Select a date range
- Click 'Download' to download a CSV file containing a list of your No Show clients and how many times they were no shows
This can be used to highlight clients at risk of churning so that you can take preventative action.
