Follow

This article will take you through how to configure your Glofox POS Terminal

The BBPOS WisePOS E is no longer for sale and has been replaced by the Stripe S700 and Stripe S710.

All current BBPOS WisePOS E devices are still fully functional and supported.

This article explains how to set up and use your Glofox POS Terminal, including the Stripe Reader S700 and S710.

Turn the reader on and off

When you first receive the device, connect it to power using the provided USB-C cable.

Plug the USB-C cable into the port on the left side of the reader. Connect the other end of the cable to the provided power adapter and plug it into a wall outlet. You can also use the optional dock and hub for a countertop setup.

After the reader is fully charged, hold down the power button on the right-hand side until the screen turns on.

After the device has powered on:

  • Press the power button to put the device into sleep mode or wake it.
  • To turn the device off completely, hold down the power button until the power-off option appears on the screen, then select it.

For countertop setups, you can leave the device powered on for extended periods. With a full charge, the battery can last approximately 15 hours during active use.

Keep the Stripe Reader S700 or S710 plugged in and powered on when it is not in use so that it can receive automatic software updates.

Stripe S700 and S710 connectivity

The Stripe S700 connects using Wi-Fi. Ethernet connectivity is also available when using the optional dock or hub.

The Stripe S710 supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and built-in 4G/LTE cellular connectivity. If the Wi-Fi connection is unavailable, the S710 can use its cellular connection to continue processing payments.

The setup and payment process is the same for both devices.
