What is it?

The Membership Plan Changes report helps you track all membership upgrades and downgrades in one place. This report gives you clear visibility into how members are moving between plans, helping you better understand member behavior and revenue impact.

It sits within the New Memberships report as an additional tab.

What does the report show?

The report displays all membership plan change requests within a selected time period.

At the top, you’ll see snapshot tiles for:

  • Total Changes Made – the total number of plan changes in the selected period
  • Immediate Changes – the number of changes that started right away and included a charge (prorated or full)
  • Scheduled Changes – the number of changes set to begin on the member’s next payment date

Below the snapshot, you’ll find a detailed table listing:

  • Member name
  • Original membership plan
  • New membership plan
  • Change type (Immediate or Scheduled)
  • Date of change
  • Effective date (if scheduled)

How to use the report

  1. Navigate to the New Memberships report
    • Go to Reports > Membership > New Memberships
    • Select the Membership Plan Changes tab
  2. Set your time period
    • Use the date filter to select the period you want to review
    • The report will automatically update with all plan changes that occurred during that timeframe
  3. Review the snapshot tiles
    • Quickly see how many changes were made immediately versus scheduled for later
  4. Dig into the table
    • Review which members changed plans
    • Check if they upgraded or downgraded
    • Track when the change took effect 

Why this report is useful

  • Track member trends – see how often members are upgrading vs downgrading
  • Measure revenue impact – identify whether changes are boosting or reducing revenue
  • Plan retention strategies – quickly spot members who are downgrading and consider outreach or offers to retain them
  • Simplify admin work – get a clear record of changes without checking individual member profiles
