Marketing consent prompt in the Member App

Members who have at least one marketing preference turned off can now review their preferences through a one-time prompt in the Member App.

The prompt is optional and does not prevent members from booking, checking in or using the app. Studios can enable it per branch and customise the prompt text for their members.

How the prompt works

The marketing consent prompt:

Appears after a member logs in.
Can appear when a member reopens the app while still signed in.
Can appear when the member's app session refreshes.
Only appears for members who have at least one marketing option turned off.
Does not appear for members who are fully opted in.
Appears only once per phone.

After a member saves their choices, skips the prompt or closes it, it will not appear again on that phone.

If the member uses a new phone or reinstalls the app, the prompt may appear again because the response is not remembered across phones.

What members see

The member sees a full-screen prompt with the title Don't miss out and the marketing consent options configured for their location.

The prompt includes:

The same marketing checkboxes that members can access from Edit Profile.
Marketing options only. Transactional consent options are not shown.
A Save Changes button, which is always available.
A Skip without saving option.
An X to close the prompt.

Saving preferences

When a member selects Save Changes, their current choices are saved and the prompt closes. Saving without making any changes is also valid.

When a member selects Skip without saving or closes the prompt using the X, their existing preferences remain unchanged.

Enable the prompt for a branch

The prompt is controlled per branch, so you can roll it out in phases.

Customise the prompt text

You can translate or customise the prompt text in the Dictionary. The following keys control the title, subtitle and buttons:

The wording for the checkboxes does not come from these Dictionary keys. It comes from the location's consent and waiver setup.

If the consent text looks incorrect or duplicated, update the location's consent and waiver setup. This feature does not change the consent configuration.

Important notes and limitations

Staff cannot currently re-prompt individual members or groups of members from the Dashboard.
The prompt does not appear when a member switches studio or when a parent switches to a child account.
Members are not sent repeat reminders after they respond.
The feature is available in Glofox and Custom Branded Apps only. Integrators are not included in this release.
Web lead form consent defaults are separate from this feature.
