What are Maintenance Fees?
Maintenance fees help gyms and studios cover the cost of maintaining and upgrading their facilities and equipment. They are typically charged annually but are structured to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new members.
With Glofox, maintenance fees can be charged whenever you wish after a new membership begins and then recur any time from day 1 to 1 year in increments of days, weeks, or months on the same date. This timing allows members to settle into their routine before the fee is applied.

What you can do
- Set up a recurring maintenance fee.
- Automatically charge the fee any time after a membership starts.
- Charge the fee in any time increment from that date onward.
- Apply the fee to all new recurring memberships created after enabling the feature.
- Maintain a fixed fee amount for all customers.
- Display maintenance fee details at checkout in the mobile app and web portal.
How to configure your Maintenance Fees
- Navigate to Settings > Fees
- Select 'Create maintenance fee'
- Fill out the fee details and click Save.
Please note:
- Maintenance fees must be set by Glofox. Contact us to get this enabled. We can also import fees to existing members who signed up before this feature was enabled.
- Maintenance fees can’t be configured/enabled at a membership/plan level yet, they apply to all recurring memberships.
- Maintenance fee amount cannot be set at a membership/plan level yet.
- Maintenance fees are not automatically included in e-agreements.
- In order to remove Maintenance Fees, please contact support.
