What each workflow does

First Booking

First Booking lets you engage customers after they book for the first time. This is a key moment in the journey from lead or trial to committed member.

You can use First Booking to:

  • Prepare and encourage customers before their first visit.
  • Target members a specified number of days after they book their first class or appointment.
  • Send different communications to different audiences, such as leads or trial members.
  • Target a member's first ever booking at the location or their first booking for a specific class or appointment.
  • Run multiple First Booking workflows in parallel for different use cases.

First Attendance

First Attendance lets you engage customers after they attend a session for the first time.

You can use First Attendance to:

  • Follow up after a customer's first experience at the studio and encourage them to book a second visit.
  • Send messages based on what the member attended, such as a first class or personal training appointment.
  • Target specific audiences, such as leads, trials, or members attending for the first time.
  • Run multiple First Attendance workflows in parallel for different use cases.

First No-Show

First No-Show lets you reach customers after they miss a session for the first time.

You can use First No-Show to:

  • Re-engage customers before they lose momentum.
  • Encourage a customer to re-book the missed session.
  • Send messages based on what the customer missed, such as a first class or personal training appointment.
  • Target specific audiences, such as leads, trials, or members missing their first session.
  • Run multiple First No-Show workflows in parallel for different use cases.

Targeting options

You can combine event and audience filters to create highly targeted journeys.

First-ever targeting

Use first-ever targeting when you want a workflow to run once for a member's first event of that type at the location.

  • First Booking: the member's first booking.
  • First Attendance: the member's first attendance.
  • First No-Show: the member's first no-show.

Event-specific targeting

Use event-specific targeting when you want to respond to a member's first booking, attendance or no-show for a particular class or appointment.

For example, you can create a variant for a member's first personal training appointment. The variant triggers when the member books, attends or misses that appointment for the first time, even if they have booked, attended or missed other sessions before.

Audience targeting

Use Audiences to narrow the workflow to a particular group of members, such as:

  • Leads
  • Active trials
  • Active members
  • Active members on specific plans
  • And many more, among any audience you’ve created by combining available filters

Multiple workflow variants

Each workflow supports multiple variants. This allows you to run different journeys at the same time, for example:

  • One First Booking variant for a member's first class booking.
  • Another First Booking variant for a member's first personal training appointment.
  • A separate First Attendance variant for trial members.
